Discover a Site’s Theme

Have you ever wondered what theme a site is using?

Sometimes, it can be hard to tell just by looking, especially if customizations have been made.

If you’re not sure that a site is built with WordPress, the easiest way to tell is to install an add-on for your browser to identify it’s CMS. Chrome Sniffer for Google’s Chrome detects web applications and javascript libraries and will identify if there’s a CMS being used—Wappalyzer is a similar add-on for Firefox.

Once you know a site is using WordPress, go to the What WordPress Theme Is That site, enter the URL and, voila, the details of the theme are revealed.
